To answer your question, the game mode that gives you the most XP points is Search and Destroy. Next would be Team Deathmatch, and then Headquarters. Headquarters on Shipment is a really good way to get XP fast.

You should rack up heaps of points in an HQ match. You get the normal match bonus + you get 5 points every few seconds while your team is in possession of the HQ + you get 20 points for capturing the HQ + you get your normal 5 points per kill. All of that = a huge XP total at the end of the game.

Also a good way to get points on any game mode is to use different weapons to complete the Marksmen Challenges for them. After 150 kills (total) on any weapon you’ll get 1000 points, you get 500 points for 75 kills, etc. So after you’ve completed the Marksmen Challenges for one gun, move onto the next one.
